Well, Phoenix has had a bit of excitement today. It isn’t everyday that the President of the United States Barack Obama comes to deliver the commencement address at ASU. 71,000 people attended the ceremony at Sun Devil Stadium, and the town has been prepping for great entertainment and showcasing. Mariachis, Native American performances, and Alice Cooper all on the show!
Besides inspiring graduates to get started on the real work ahead, Obama commissioned 40 Army and Air Force cadets from five Arizona universities. Prior to 2007 only a commissioned military officer could administer the oath. Now the president, vice president and secretary of defense can do so – and being commissioned by the president is pretty rare!
The quality of life in Phoenix is pretty rare too. Take a look at these Phoenix condos we think are a great find.

Phoenix has several historic districts, and these are attractive choices for condo buyers. Buildings are either renovated classics, or built in the architectural style of the craftsman era and earlier.
The Roosevelt district was the first to be officially designated a historic district. With its homes in the Craftsman and California style, this former streetcar neighborhood has become a classic architectural treasure. The renewal of the district in the 1980s was current with development in Phoenix, a new light rail system, and expansion of Arizona State University.
Take a look at these buildings in the Roosevelt district
Roosevelt Square Town Homes (built in 2003)
Fontanelle House Lofts built in 1924
Lofts at Fillmore built in 1929
