It isn’t everyday that the President of the United States  Barack Obama comes to deliver the commencement address at ASU. 71,000 people attended the ceremony at Sun Devil Stadium, and the town has been prepping for great entertainment and showcasing. Mariachis, Native American performances, and Alice Cooper all on the show!

Besides inspiring graduates to get started on the real work ahead, Obama commissioned 40 Army and Air Force cadets from five Arizona universities. Prior to 2007 only a commissioned military officer could administer the oath. Now the president, vice president and secretary of defense can do so – and being commissioned by the president is pretty rare!

Good news for FHA loans! As of last week, there are new maximum loan limits that are available due to the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act. These new loan limits are for new and existing loan applications that are submitted with credit approval on or after March 12, 2009.

Here is a list of the 2009 FHA Maximum Mortgage Limits*:

$934,200 for two-unit properties
$1,129,250 for three-unit properties
$1,403,400 for four-unit properties
